Anggi Frisca
Director
Anggi Frisca, born on July 2, 1984, is a renowned Indonesian cinematographer and director. She holds a Diploma Degree in Film Cinematography from the Film and Television Faculty of the Jakarta Institute of Art, 2002.
Throughout her career, Anggi has received several accolades for her work, including the Best Cinematographer award for her films ‘Mata Tertutup’ at Apresiasi Film Indonesia 2011 and The ‘Seen and Unseen’ at the Malaysian Golden Globe Awards 2018. She has also been nominated for best cinematographher at the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI ) for Night Bus (2017) and Tanah Surga Katanya (2012). Her extensive portfolio as a cinematographer includes the Netflix original film, A World Without (2021).
Since beginning her career as a cinematographer in 2011, Anggi has gained recognition as the first female Indonesian cinematographer to receive international awards. She is dedicated to learning and enhancing her intuition in filmmaking while continually developing her skills. Notably, Anggi served as the president of the Indonesian Cinematographers Society (ICS) from 2019 to 2021.
Anggi ventured into directing with the documentary film ‘Negeri Dongeng’ in (2017). This debut allowed her to explore her storytelling skills from a director's perspective. She further showcased her directing talents in the Disney original film ‘Nona’ in (2019).
As a director and cinematographer, Anggi brings depth and distinct character to her films. Her unique visual style, combined with her passion for storytelling, has made her a sought-after figure in the Indonesian film industry.
